Location Storage Attributes
With virtually unlimited options for customising in locations, storage and picking areas, SEQOS provides powerful control of this critical aspect of warehouse operation.
Restrictions can be imposed at every stock storage location on mixing expiry dates, receive dates, batches (lot numbers), style, colour, size, products.
Restricted stock status at location, e.g., a picking location might only contain saleable stock and a quarantine location might only contain quarantined stock. Locations may also contain mixed stock statuses allowing the status of stock to be changed without physically moving the stock, but picking rules restricted to particular stock statuses.
Restricted access to warehouse equipment (MHE), e.g., forklift-accessible locations, electric forklifts inside the warehouse, gas or electric forklifts outside the warehouse.
Staging locations where stock must be transferred to a different type of equipment, e.g., Very-narrow-aisle crane transferring to forklift.
Storage groups for products , e.g., Chiller Area, Dangerous Goods Area.
Location dimensions and weight restrictions. Location group weight restriction for maximum floor load.
Last-In-First-Out storage for drive-in and block stack racking.
A Combine Stock report recommends how stock from multiple locations can be combined to single locations to free-up other locations.
Putaway Location Management
After stock is received, the stock is automatically assigned a suitable storage location using configurable rules of Location Storage Attributes and Product Storage Attributes.
Received stock or stock that has cleared inspection is automatically directed to (1) picking locations if the current stock level is below minimum holding stock, or (2) bulk storage locations.
Replenishment Location Management
Picking locations are usually configured for replenishment. Bulk storage locations are configured to supply stock for replenishment to the picking locations.
Each time stock is picked, written down, written up, or moved to a location, SEQOS checks the replenishment levels.
Any location may be configured with a replenishment priority, a replenishment level, and an urgent replenishment level separately for each product at the location. These values determine where the replenishment transaction is automatically inserted into the task queue when replenishment is required.
The oldest suitable stock in the warehouse, providing it has not expired, is selected for replenishment.
Configure all yard locations in SEQOS and assign those locations to a separate named location area, for example, "Yard".
Assign any attributes to trailers, containers and other conveyances stored in the yard area. For example, owner, registration, sizes of container, maximum weight, supplier and referenced order. Attributes are individually configurable for each type of conveyance. For example, one set of attributes for trailers, and a different set of attributes for containers.
Use RF terminals and tablets to record all movements within the yard and all transactions for each conveyance.
The "Location Heatmap" function in SEQOS Charts graphically shows available and used locations in the yard area.
The "Conveyance Contents Report" lists the contents of trailers, containers and other conveyances, including the various attributes associated with each conveyance type.
Link SEQOS Assets Management to trailers, containers and other conveyance types.
